The Association of Health Psychologists (AHP) was established in 2015 by a group of psychologists who specialize in Health Psychology. Their primary objective is to promote, develop, and create awareness about Health Psychology as a distinct science, discipline, and profession.

Vision- To establish Health Psychology as a recognized science, discipline, and profession by promoting its growth, advancing research, and raising awareness for the well-being of individuals and communities. To advocate substituting the biomedical model with the biopsychosocial model in the health care system

Generate awareness regarding the role and scope of Health Psychology and sensitize all the participants and stakeholders in the healthcare services

Advancement of Health Psychology

Promote and facilitate advanced research, integrating psychological principles into health and healthcare.

Aid policy-making

Collaborate with government and health service providers to develop protocols and procedures that address the psychological needs of patients.

Improve healthcare

Promote a holistic approach to addressing the healthcare needs of the population, patients, caregivers, and care providers.

Improve interactions

Organize workshops, seminars, conferences, symposia, exhibitions, and other events independently or in collaboration with professional and expert bodies. Additionally, to design programs and initiatives that promote health awareness within communities.
